Economists had expected a 10,000 job gain nationally in November, but Canada lost 71,200.
BC lost 18,200 jobs. This is the 5th month out of the past 6 where BC lost jobs.
BC unemployment rate is still low, but it has topped 5% for the first time in a long time. 5.0% in November, up from 4.7% the month before.
