Despite what we hear from US-funded eco-activists, the vast, vast majority (even in BC!) of Canadians proudly support responsible resource development, and see energy as a key part of Canada's post-COVID economic recovery.💪 81% agree that ‘natural resource development is good for Canada’ (only 13% disagree) 💪 83% agree that ‘Canada’s natural resource sector is an important contributor to the Canadian economy today’ (only 10% disagree)💪 73% of Canadians agree that ‘investment in Canada’s natural resource sector will help Canada’s post COVID-19 economic recovery’ (only 15% disagree)#get2yes #got2yes #stick2yes ... Over in Business in Vancouver, Kirk Lapointe makes a very detailed plea to the Horgan government to provide more timely, specific information to British Columbians:"It is taking days to receive simple responses to our questions. It is policy to deny the most basic information about the local, regional or provincial presence of COVID-19. It is basic common sense in a crisis to not have a three-day gap each week between media briefings on caseloads, hospitalizations and deaths. These briefings should provide more generous time for questions and for journalists from outside the legislative press gallery in other regions of the province. Our access to government health experts has been cut off. Apart from the briefings by the premier, the health minister and the provincial health officer, media may deal only with communications specialists. We are having to rely more and more often on anonymous sources when we, and the province we serve, deserve on-the-record public accountability."It's worth reading his whole piece. ... We are absolutely thrilled to celebrate the 50th anniversary of ICBA member All-West Glass, a true northern BC success story. Based in Smithers, AWG has grown into four companies: Independent Glass Distributors, AWG Northern Distribution, AWG Windows & Doors and All-West Glass. The company currently has 19 locations across northwest Canada. Automotive, residential, commercial, windows, doors, custom: if it’s glass, All-West can help. Their team now numbers more than 300 people, including 175 ticketed glaziers and/or automotive glass technicians. In 1997, after attending post secondary school in Vancouver, Laura Stanton moved home to join the business her father, Dan, had started. Having grown up in the business and working after school with odd jobs, she was already very familiar with the office. In 2015, after 44 years at the helm, Dan announced that he would be passing on the title President and responsibility of the company to Laura. Congratulations to AWG, Laura Stanton and the entire All-West team! 👏 👏 ... See MoreSee Less
